Grizly Paw 2010

At the beginning of July, thirteen members of 1^st Irthlingborough Scouts joined by a small contingent of six Scouts from 8^th Rushden (SA) attended the Grizzly Paw County Camp at Overstone.

Hundreds of Scouts and Explorer Scouts from all over the county attended the event.

The opening ceremony was colourful, with Scout Colours flying and a plethora of kneckers of all shades and combinations.

Annual General Meeting 2010

All parents, friends and supporters are most welcome to attend the AGM which will be held at the HQ

Thursday 20^th May 2010 at 7-30pm

This is a special year for Cubs in Irthlingborough and the Young People will be taking part in a short presentation about the History of Cubs in the Town.

We will have on show old pictures of Cubs and their Leaders, the Old Colours and interesting documents leading from 1920 until the 90^th year.

Do come along and see this unique display and hear their story!

Refreshments will be provided and this will be an opportunity to hear what goes on in Scouting and review our Annual Financial Statement.

St Georges Day Parade and Activities Afternoon - Sunday 25^th April 2010

Sunday 25^th of April saw the Group paraded to St. Peter’s Church for the Annual St. George’s Day Service. There were a record number of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts as well as their Leaders who came along to renew their Promises and to witness the Blessing of the New Cub Flag. The new colours were presented to the Cub section to commemorate 90 years of Cub Scouting in Irthlingborough.
